K-6 students will be treated to a movie this afternoon at Julesburg. The movie we will watch is “How to Train Your Dragon”, students will leave the school at 12:30 and return before 3:30.

Congratulations Mrs. Sylvester! Her graduation at CSC was cancelled because of the weather, so we held an Impromptu ceremony for her at South Platte!

The Music Department and Knight Vision Group worked together to sponsor a Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. We had amazing participation and some very festive and creative ideas. The winners are: Best Overall: The Spanish Classes Most Unique: The Science Department Best Homemade Ornaments: Library Best “Outside the Box” tree- Sixth Grade

No school for South Platte on Friday, December 16th. The high school basketball games have been postponed, the JV basketball tournament and the wrestling contest scheduled for Saturday have also been postponed at this time.

Reschedule dates: JH basketball vs Banner County will be Jan. 5 HS basketball @ Paxton will be Feb. 2. Times are to be determined.

Jr. high sports pictures have been postponed until next Thursday the 15th due to illness. High school sports, play production and bowling are still going to be taken tomorrow.

Winter Sports/Activity pictures tomorrow! Groups included are Basketball (JH&HS), wrestling (JH&HS), Play Production and Unified Bowling. All participants and groups will get their pictures taken. Coaches will distribute order forms at a later date.
